Author's porcelain

Overglaze decor and gold painting in national style. One-off author's pieces.

A separate line is author's porcelain in national style. The drawing is born as an original work: Eastern ornament, ikat and suzani motifs, the "Navruz" series. Over a hundred original themes, and every piece is assembled one at a time.

The technique is overglaze: we transfer the author's drawing onto porcelain, fix it by firing in a muffle kiln, then by hand, with the finest pen, paint over it in real carat gold and fire again. Hence the depth of colour and durability - such ware isn't afraid of everyday use.

Technique

What stands behind every piece

It's not just a drawing on tableware. Behind the piece is an original concept, an overglaze technique with kiln firing, and a final touch painted by hand in real gold.

Overglaze technique

We fix the design by firing it in a muffle kiln at 800°. Hence the durability - the tableware withstands everyday use.

Original concept

Over a hundred original themes. Each collection is thought through artistically, from theme to composition.

Karat gold by hand

The final detailing is applied with the finest pen in real gold, then a second firing locks it in.

Handmade packaging

A chest tailored to the specific set, a certificate and a card. The gift looks complete even before it's opened.

How it's made

Ten stages of handwork

Many think the drawing is simply applied to the dish. In fact, every piece takes a long path: author's design, overglaze technique, kiln firing and gold painting by hand.

Selecting the ware

We take only pieces that pass inspection and are fit for further work.

Idea & sketch

We conceive the subject and composition. The drawing is born in watercolour, graphics or on a tablet.

Printing the decal

We scan the sketch, prepare it and print it on special decal paper.

Lacquering & drying

We coat it with lacquer and dry it so the image can be transferred to porcelain.

Transfer to the piece

The most painstaking step: we carefully transfer the image, forcing out air and excess moisture for a perfect fit.

First firing, 800°C

The muffle kiln. Here the image literally becomes part of the porcelain.

Gold painting

By hand, with the finest pen, in real carat gold. This takes experience and patience.

Second firing, 720°C

One more pass through the kiln - we fix the gold painting.

Packaging for the piece

We design a handmade box or chest for the specific set.

Final assembly

We add a certificate, a card, sweets and decor. Now the gift is ready to travel to its owner.
